Commercial purity aluminium
Commercially pure aluminium with excellent corrosion resistance, formability and thermal conductivity. The benchmark for chemical, food and decorative applications.
Manganese alloy: general purpose
The workhorse aluminium alloy. Approximately 20 % stronger than 1100 with the same excellent formability, specified for cladding, roofing, ducting and general sheet-metal fabrication.
Architectural anodising alloy
A low-magnesium 5xxx alloy specifically formulated for bright, even anodising. The benchmark sheet for architectural cladding and decorative trim.
Marine & corrosion-resistant alloy
The most widely specified non-heat-treatable aluminium alloy. Outstanding saltwater corrosion resistance and fatigue strength make it the default for marine, chemical and architectural fabrication.
Marine structural plate alloy
The world's leading marine structural alloy. The highest strength of any non-heat-treatable aluminium and exceptional saltwater resistance make it the specification for hulls, cryogenic tanks and high-load marine welded structures.
European architectural & automotive sheet
The European 5xxx benchmark for tread plate, architectural cladding and automotive body panels, with excellent corrosion resistance, formability and weld response.
European structural alloy
The strongest 6xxx alloy in common use. The European structural-engineering benchmark for bridges, trusses, transport frames and high-load machined components.
Aerospace high-strength alloy

Wrought aluminium alloys, defined.
Aluminium is a low-density (2.70 g/cm³), corrosion-resistant non-ferrous metal supplied across the wrought alloy series 1xxx (commercially pure), 3xxx (Mn), 5xxx (Mg), 6xxx (Mg-Si) and 7xxx (Zn). Each series carries a distinct strength / corrosion / formability / weldability balance. Tempers (O, H, T4, T6) further define mechanical performance. Wrought aluminium is supplied as sheet, plate, coil, chequered plate, stucco embossed, perforated and extruded profile, with marine grades (5xxx / 6xxx) certified to ASTM B928. Specified for façade, marine, transport, industrial, packaging and electrical applications across the GCC.

Aluminium procurement guide
Six-step specification path for any aluminium programme.
- 1. Define the application
Façade / curtain-wall → 6063 extrusions, 5005 sheet. Marine hull / deck → 5083 / 5086 H116/H321. HVAC / stucco / signage → 1100 / 3003. Structural / transport → 6061 / 6082. High-strength tooling / aerospace → 7075 (on indent).
- 2. Specify alloy + temper
Always pair alloy with temper. 5083-H116 is not the same as 5083-O; 6061-T6 is not the same as 6061-O. Temper governs strength, formability and weldability. Confirm both in every enquiry.
- 3. Confirm form and configuration
Sheet (≤ 6 mm), plate (≥ 6 mm), coil (continuous), chequered plate, stucco embossed, perforated, extruded profile. Specify thickness, width, length, finish (mill / anodised / pre-painted) and protective masking.
- 4. Set the certification deliverables
EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill test certificate as standard. Type 3.2 third-party witness for critical structural / marine. ASTM B928 for marine grades. PMI (Positive Material Identification) on-site verification on request.
- 5. Choose origin and mill
Hindalco (TIC Dubai represented 35+ years), European primary smelters, Middle East rolling mills. Match alloy capability to mill specialism. Multi-origin consolidation supported on programme orders.
- 6. Plan packing and freight
Wooden crates for sheets ≤ 1500 kg, steel pallets for coils, end-caps and edge guards on chequered / stucco, polyethylene interleaved between anodised sheets, dehumidified containers for long-sea-route marine grades.

Mill stamp on sheet / coil confirms alloy + temper (e.g. 5083 H116). Cross-check with MTC.
- Mill test certificate (EN 10204 3.1)
Chemical composition, mechanical properties, heat number, temper, all on the MTC.
- Dimensional check
Thickness ± per EN 485-3 / ASTM B209 tolerances. Length / width per order tolerance.
- Surface inspection
No deep scratches, no roll marks, no oxidation, no oil contamination, no edge cracks.
- Flatness
Flat sheet within 3 mm / m, coil set within mill specification.

Verify exfoliation (ASSET) and intergranular (NAMLT) test reports for H116 / H321.
