Mill-finish flat sheet: full alloy range

    Plain Aluminium Sheets

Plain mill-finish aluminium sheet in 1100, 3003, 5005, 5052, 5083, 6082 and 7075, supplied to architects, fabricators and industrial buyers across the UAE and GCC.

    Overview

    Technical overview.

Plain aluminium sheets are the foundation of the aluminium catalogue, providing flat, mill-finish rolled product across the full architectural and structural alloy range. TIC Dubai stocks and indents plain sheet to EN 485, ASTM B209 and JIS H4000, supplied with EN 10204 type 3.1 mill test certificates and cut-to-length to customer specification.

Available in a full range of thicknesses according to customer requirement, from thin gauge sheet through to heavy plate. Standard widths and lengths to international mill sizes, with cut-to-length on request.

    Alloys Available

Each alloy page is a full technical reference covering composition, mechanical properties, fabrication notes and applications.

    1100
    1xxx

    Commercial purity aluminium

Commercially pure aluminium with excellent corrosion resistance, formability and thermal conductivity. The benchmark for chemical, food and decorative applications.

    3003
    3xxx

    Manganese alloy: general purpose

The workhorse aluminium alloy. Approximately 20 % stronger than 1100 with the same excellent formability, specified for cladding, roofing, ducting and general sheet-metal fabrication.

    5005
    5xxx

    Architectural anodising alloy

A low-magnesium 5xxx alloy specifically formulated for bright, even anodising. The benchmark sheet for architectural cladding and decorative trim.

    5052
    5xxx

    Marine & corrosion-resistant alloy

The most widely specified non-heat-treatable aluminium alloy. Outstanding saltwater corrosion resistance and fatigue strength make it the default for marine, chemical and architectural fabrication.

    5083
    5xxx

    Marine structural plate alloy

The world's leading marine structural alloy. The highest strength of any non-heat-treatable aluminium and exceptional saltwater resistance make it the specification for hulls, cryogenic tanks and high-load marine welded structures.

    Standards

    Certified to international specification.

    ASTM B209
Standard specification for aluminium and aluminium-alloy sheet and plate. Covers chemical composition, mechanical properties and tolerances for wrought aluminium sheet (≤ 6.3 mm) and plate (> 6.3 mm).
    ASTM B221
Standard specification for aluminium and aluminium-alloy extruded bar, rod, wire, profile and tube. The principal North-American standard for extruded aluminium product.
    ASTM B928
Standard specification for high-magnesium aluminium-alloy sheet and plate for marine service. Certifies 5083, 5086 and similar marine alloys in H116 and H321 tempers against exfoliation and stress-corrosion cracking.
    EN 485
European specification for aluminium and aluminium-alloy sheet, strip and plate. EN 485-1: technical conditions for inspection and delivery. EN 485-2: mechanical properties. EN 485-3 / 485-4: tolerances.
    EN 573
European specification for chemical composition and form of wrought aluminium products. EN 573-3 lists chemical composition limits for every standard wrought alloy.
