Aluminium Alloy 7075: Aerospace high-strength alloy.

One of the strongest aluminium alloys in commercial use, with strength approaching that of mild steel at one-third the weight. Specified for aerospace, defence and high-performance components. Supplied on indent.

    Technical reference

    What is Aluminium Alloy 7075?

Aluminium Alloy 7075 is a zinc-magnesium-copper heat-treatable aluminium of the 7xxx family and the strongest aluminium alloy in widespread commercial use. Tempers T6 and T651 deliver tensile strengths above 500 MPa, comparable to mild steel at one-third the density. 7075 is the standard aerospace, defence and high-performance tooling alloy, supplied principally as plate, bar and tube. TIC Dubai supplies 7075 on indent against confirmed project tonnages.

7075 machines exceptionally well and is preferred for mould tooling and CNC components. It is generally not welded; mechanical fastening or friction-stir welding are used. Heat-treatment and ageing are critical to final properties; supplied in T6, T651 or T7351 tempers.
