Factory-direct wood & panel supply to Egypt
Container-load shipments of film faced plywood, MDF, birch plywood, spruce, pine and red wood, CFR Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said and Sokhna.
An international sourcing partner, not a local stockist
TIC Dubai (Transcontinental Indenting Company LLC) represents qualified mills across Asia, Europe and beyond. Our role for Egyptian buyers is to secure the right mill, book the right production window and ship on time in full container loads.
Every shipment is booked with the origin mill. No intermediaries, no local stock, pricing sits at factory level for Egyptian buyers.
Full 20' and 40' container shipments are the default. Mixed containers combine compatible items for buyers with narrower requirements.
Repeat and project buyers can secure mill capacity across the project pipeline with phased monthly or quarterly shipments.
Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said and Sokhna are all served. Port choice is driven by your clearing agent, destination and freight economics.

A deep, mature market for imported wood and panels
Egypt is one of the largest and most consistent importers of wood and panel products in the Middle East and North Africa. Continuous investment in residential construction, the New Administrative Capital, Suez Canal corridor infrastructure, industrial cities and the well-established furniture manufacturing cluster in Damietta creates sustained demand for film faced plywood, MDF, birch plywood and softwood and hardwood timber.
Egyptian importers, contractors and manufacturers have matured well beyond commodity buying. Serious buyers now specify density, thickness tolerance, moisture content, emission class and reuse expectations upfront, and they benefit most from booking factory-direct in container loads rather than paying local-stockist margins.
TIC Dubai supports that shift as an international mill representative and procurement partner. We do not compete with local distributors on stock; we sit upstream, holding qualified mill relationships across Asia, Europe, the Baltics and beyond, and ship directly to the Egyptian port of the buyer's choice.

Container supply reaches every major industrial cluster

Full container loads, booked mill-direct
Every Egypt shipment is booked as a full 20' or 40' container at the origin mill. Mixed containers combining compatible items are routine, for example film faced plywood in multiple thicknesses, or plywood alongside MDF, so buyers with narrower requirements can still hit a target load without paying LCL premiums.
Packing is discipline-driven at the mill: strapped bundles on skids or pallets, edge protection, shrink wrap, and dunnage-secured voids to prevent transit movement. Packing lists specify piece count, bundle weight and total volume so the Egyptian clearing agent has clean documentation on arrival.
For project-based and repeat buyers, phased monthly containers are preferred over one oversized upfront shipment. TIC coordinates the production cadence with the mill so panels or timber arrive matched to the buyer's consumption rate.
Every mill pre-qualified, every shipment documented
TIC only ships from mills that have been pre-qualified against consistent core construction, glue-line integrity, thickness or section tolerance and grade honesty. Deviation from the confirmed PI specification is not commercially acceptable, that is the discipline factory-direct buyers expect.
Standard shipment documentation includes the mill test / quality report, commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and fumigation certificate where required. Additional documents (CARB / E1 emission certificate, FSC or PEFC chain of custody, mill datasheets) are prepared when specified at enquiry.
For project-critical orders, third-party pre-shipment inspection (SGS, Bureau Veritas, TUV, CIQ) is straightforward to arrange at the load port before the container is sealed.

Everything Egyptian buyers ask about factory-direct supply
Does TIC Dubai supply directly to Egypt?
Yes. We ship container-load orders from origin mills in Southeast Asia, Europe, the Baltics and beyond to Egyptian ports on CFR terms. Our role is that of an international sourcing partner and mill representative, not a local stockist.
Which Egyptian ports do you ship to?
We regularly ship to Alexandria, Damietta, Port Said and Sokhna. The port is selected based on the buyer's clearing agent, the destination city and freight economics.
Do you hold stock inside Egypt?
No. TIC does not operate warehouses or offices inside Egypt. All supply is factory-direct in container loads, which keeps pricing at mill level and gives buyers full traceability.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Standard commitments are one 20' or 40' container per product. Mixed containers combining compatible items are possible for buyers with narrower requirements.
What Incoterms do you supply on?
CFR to the Egyptian port of your choice is the default. FOB origin and CIF can be quoted on request.
How are lead times structured?
Production and shipping typically run 30–60 days depending on the mill, product and season. Forward bookings against project schedules are encouraged for larger volumes.
Which product families are most in demand from Egyptian buyers?
Film faced plywood for construction formwork, MDF for furniture and door production, birch plywood for joinery, and spruce, pine and red wood timber for workshops and traders.
Can TIC accommodate project-based supply?
Yes. Repeat-project buyers can lock mill capacity via forward production bookings, phased shipments and consistent specifications across the project duration.
Do you work with Egyptian distributors and traders?
Yes. Distributors and importers are a core segment. We support them with mill-direct pricing, consolidated shipments and consistent quality across resupply cycles.
Can you supply mixed containers to Egypt?
Compatible items (for example film faced plywood in mixed thicknesses, or plywood plus MDF) can be combined in a single container subject to mill and volume feasibility.
How is quality controlled at origin?
Every mill we represent is pre-qualified. Orders ship against agreed specifications with mill test certificates and, where applicable, pre-shipment inspection.
What documentation is provided for Egyptian customs?
Standard documentation includes commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, mill certificate of origin and fumigation certificate where required. Additional documents are prepared on request.
Do you offer CFR pricing in USD or EUR?
Both are common depending on the origin mill and the buyer's banking arrangement. All quotations state currency, Incoterms and validity clearly.
How do I request a quotation for Egypt?
Use the WhatsApp or email links on this page. Include product, thickness or dimensions, target port, quantity in containers and expected shipment window.
Can TIC handle repeat monthly shipments?
Yes. Long-term supply partnerships with monthly or quarterly shipment cadences are the model we are built for.
Do you supply Alexandria and Damietta at the same rate?
Freight differentials between Egyptian ports are usually minor. We quote the specific port you request and can compare alternatives on the same offer.
What if my clearing agent prefers a specific shipping line?
We work with all major lines calling Egyptian ports and can book against your nominated carrier where booking availability allows.
