Hot-rolled from continuously cast beam blanks on universal mills, producing parallel inner flange faces with EN 10365 tolerances and uniform metallurgy along the length.

Universal Beams (UB) are hot-rolled structural sections with parallel inner flange faces, manufactured to BS 4-1 / EN 10365. They are the standard primary beam in British and GCC building practice. It is used for floor beams, transfer beams, roof girders and long-span framing.

Standard grades S275JR and S355JR deliver 275 – 355 MPa yield. Higher-strength S460 grades available for long-span and weight-critical projects.
