Aluminium Alloy 5754: European architectural & automotive sheet.
The European 5xxx benchmark for tread plate, architectural cladding and automotive body panels, with excellent corrosion resistance, formability and weld response.
What is Aluminium Alloy 5754?
Aluminium Alloy 5754 is the European benchmark in the 5xxx family for tread plate, architectural sheet and formed automotive panels. With ~3 % magnesium it occupies the space between 5052 and 5083 in strength while offering superior formability, which is particularly important for deep-drawn automotive body parts and chequered floor plate to EN standards.
5754 cold-forms, deep-draws and bends excellently. Welds with 5356 filler. Roll-forms cleanly for tread / chequered plate production.

- Slightly lower marine strength than 5083 / 5086
5754 is supplied to:
- EN 485-2
- EN 573-3
- EN 1396 (coated)
Supplied to customer requirement.
Alloy 5754 is available in a full range of thicknesses according to customer requirement, with cut-to-length, slitting and custom configuration on request. Mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1) are issued with every consignment.
Related aluminium alloys.
Marine & corrosion-resistant alloy
The most widely specified non-heat-treatable aluminium alloy. Outstanding saltwater corrosion resistance and fatigue strength make it the default for marine, chemical and architectural fabrication.
Marine alloy: bridging 5052 and 5083
A high-magnesium marine alloy that bridges 5052 and 5083, being stronger than 5052, more formable than 5083, and fully marine-certified.
Painted & coated sheet alloy
A 3xxx alloy with added magnesium, optimised for pre-painted, colour-coated and roll-formed architectural sheet, including roofing, siding, gutters and rainscreen.
