    OEM & Private Label Solutions

Build your own brand on every panel.

An increasing share of GCC importers and distributors now ship film faced plywood under their own brand rather than under the mill's brand. TIC Dubai supports that shift end-to-end: from custom logo printing on the film surface, to private-label bundle packaging, to OEM specification of film density, core composition and panel size as a permanent SKU produced consistently across every shipment.

We act as your sourcing and specification partner, managing mill selection, quality inspection, branding artwork approval, container loading and export documentation, so your brand goes on and our partner mills stay invisible.

    Custom logo on film

High-resolution logo printing onto the phenolic film surface, keeping your brand visible on every panel that lands on site.

    Private label packaging

Bundle labels, edge protectors and pallet wrap printed in your brand colours, with your SKU codes and barcode system.

    OEM specification

Lock-in your own film density, core composition, thickness range and panel size as a branded SKU produced consistently across every shipment.

    Technical Guide

How to specify film faced plywood.

    Film density & reuse guide

Brown and black phenolic film panels deliver 8 – 10 pours under disciplined handling. PVC green plastic coated panels deliver 10 – 14 pours. PVC yellow plastic coated panels deliver 15 – 20 pours, the highest reuse in our standard range. Finger joint and block joint film faced plywood are economy specifications engineered for 1 – 2 pour single-use formwork.

    Core types

Hardwood, combi (poplar + hardwood) and full poplar cores are selectable per project. Core selection directly drives weight, stiffness, screw-holding and concrete-finish quality.

    Surface finishes

F/F (smooth/smooth) for fair-faced concrete and architectural pours; F/W (smooth/wire-mesh) for anti-slip scaffolding and falsework decks.

    Thickness guide

12 mm: light formwork & lining; 15 mm: wall and column formwork; 18 mm: slab, beam and standard formwork; 21 – 25 mm: heavy infrastructure formwork and crane mats.

    Concrete finish quality

F1 – F5 finish achievable depending on film grade, panel condition, release agent and pour discipline. Premium black phenolic and PP plastic films deliver F3 – F5 architectural finishes when paired with disciplined handling.

    Reuse & care

Edge-sealing, controlled stripping, proper release agent and on-site repair extend reuses by 30 – 50%. Avoid edge impact and steel banding marks on the face.

    Applications

From wall formwork to crane mats.

    • Wall, column & slab formwork
    • Tunnel & bridge infrastructure formwork
    • Industrial flooring & mezzanines
    • Scaffolding & falsework decks
    • Bus, truck & rail vehicle floors
    • Concrete furniture & precast moulds

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Film faced plywood FAQ

    What is film faced plywood?

Film faced plywood is a hardwood-core plywood panel overlaid on both faces with a thermosetting phenolic or PVC plastic film. The film creates a smooth, water-resistant surface engineered for concrete formwork.

What is the difference between brown film, black film, PVC green and PVC yellow plastic film?

Brown and black phenolic films are the standard formwork specifications, both delivering 8 – 10 pours, with black offering a denser, more premium appearance and higher abrasion resistance. PVC green plastic coated panels step reuse up to 10 – 14 pours. PVC yellow plastic coated panels deliver the highest reuse in the standard range at 15 – 20 pours, typically specified for infrastructure and repeated casting.

Does TIC Dubai offer OEM and private label film faced plywood?

Yes. TIC Dubai works with mill-direct partners that support full OEM and private label programmes: customer logo printed onto the film face, custom edge paint colours, branded bundle labels, branded pallet wrap and customer-specific container documentation. Available against minimum order quantities, typically from one 20-ft FCL.

How many pours can a film faced panel deliver?

Brown Film Faced Plywood: 8 – 10 pours. Black Film Faced Plywood: 8 – 10 pours. PVC Green Plastic Film Faced Plywood: 10 – 14 pours. PVC Yellow Plastic Film Faced Plywood: 15 – 20 pours. Finger Joint and Block Joint Film Faced Plywood: 1 – 2 pours (economy single-use specifications). Reuse cycles depend on handling, edge protection, release agent discipline and on-site repair.

What are Finger Joint and Block Joint film faced plywood?

Finger Joint and Block Joint film faced plywood are economy shuttering specifications built on finger-jointed or block-jointed core veneers, faced with phenolic film. Both are engineered for 1 – 2 pour single-use formwork, temporary works and budget-driven projects where reuse is not the priority.

What is the difference between F/F and F/W finishes?

F/F (smooth/smooth) is for fair-faced concrete and architectural pours. F/W (smooth/wire-mesh) has a smooth concrete face and an anti-slip wire-mesh back for safe walking on scaffolding decks.

    Which thickness should we specify?

12 mm for light linings, 15 mm for walls / columns, 18 mm for slabs and standard formwork, 21 – 25 mm for heavy infrastructure and crane mats. The structural engineer should confirm based on pour pressure and stud / waler spacing.

Where does TIC Dubai source film faced plywood?

TIC Dubai sources from a network of carefully selected Chinese export mills with established WBP phenolic and PP plastic film production lines. Mills are vetted on consistency, film bond quality, core integrity and export-pack discipline rather than on price alone.

Is film faced plywood suitable for GCC summer site conditions?

Yes. WBP phenolic and PP plastic film systems on hardwood / combi cores resist the moisture and high temperatures encountered across UAE, Saudi, Qatar and Oman job sites.
