    Insulation Boards (Thermal & Acoustic)

Rigid thermal and acoustic insulation board systems for commercial, hospitality, residential and industrial construction. PIR, PUR, EPS, XPS, mineral wool, glass wool and wood-fibre options.

    Overview

    What insulation boards is.

Insulation board systems are a core component of every modern building envelope, managing heat loss, heat gain, acoustic performance and fire protection across walls, roofs, floors, HVAC ducting and partition cavities. TIC Dubai supplies the full insulation board catalogue across thermal, acoustic and hybrid grades, sourced from leading European and Asian manufacturers and specified to project requirement.

Insulation boards are rigid panels engineered to resist heat transfer (thermal insulation), absorb or block sound (acoustic insulation), or both. The thermal performance is measured by lambda (λ, thermal conductivity in W/m·K) or U-value of the assembled construction; acoustic performance is measured by absorption (αw) and transmission loss (Rw). The right product depends on the application, code requirement and fire rating.

    Variants & Grades

    Insulation Boards variants.

    PIR

    PIR: Polyisocyanurate

High-performance rigid foam with one of the lowest thermal conductivities (λ ≈ 0.022 W/m·K). Used in roof, wall and floor insulation where thinner construction and high R-value are required.

    PUR

    PUR: Polyurethane

Rigid foam insulation with strong thermal performance, used in roof, floor and sandwich panel cores.

    EPS

    EPS: Expanded Polystyrene

Lightweight closed-cell foam, cost-efficient thermal insulation for floors, ETICS / EIFS wall systems and substrate boards.

    XPS

    XPS: Extruded Polystyrene

Higher-density closed-cell board with strong compressive strength and very low moisture absorption, used in inverted roofs, basements, perimeter and below-slab insulation.

    MW

    Mineral / Stone Wool

Non-combustible mineral wool boards that combine thermal insulation with strong acoustic performance and Euroclass A fire rating. Specified widely for fire-rated walls, roofs and partitions.

    GW

    Glass Wool

Light, flexible glass-fibre boards and rolls for cavity walls, partitions and acoustic absorption.

    WF

    Wood Fibre Insulation

Natural, vapour-open wood-fibre boards for sustainable construction and Passive House envelopes.
