Hard Maple (sugar maple) is a creamy-white, dense and shock-resistant hardwood. The benchmark species for sports flooring, butcher blocks, bowling lanes and high-wear interior joinery.
Hard Maple's combination of high Janka hardness, fine even texture and consistent pale colour make it ideal for high-wear, photographed surfaces - basketball courts, dance floors and bowling lanes. It also turns a clean spindle and machines crisp edges for furniture and joinery.
