Teak is unrivalled for outdoor durability - naturally rich in protective oils and silica, it shrugs off water, insects and fungi without preservatives. Supplied as old-growth Burmese where legally available, plus FSC® plantation-grown alternatives from Asia and Latin America.
For decades Teak has been the default choice for yacht decking and marine joinery. The high silica and oil content make it dimensionally stable in changing humidity, naturally non-slip when wet, and resistant to rot, insects and marine borers. It can be left untreated to weather to a silver-grey patina or oiled to maintain its golden colour.
We supply both certified plantation Teak (FSC® / PEFC from Latin America, Africa and Indonesia) and, where legally permitted, Myanmar-origin Teak with full chain-of-custody documentation and EUDR-compliant due-diligence statements. Plantation Teak typically has wider growth rings and lighter colour than old-growth - we work with our customers to specify the right grade for the application.
