    What is Oxygen Free Copper?

    Oxygen Free Copper (OFC) is copper refined to remove dissolved oxygen, typically below 10 ppm in Cu-OF (C10200) and below 5 ppm in Cu-OFE (C10100). Removing oxygen eliminates hydrogen embrittlement and raises conductivity slightly above standard ETP copper.

    OFC vs ETP: when do I need OFC?

    Specify OFC when the application involves brazing in hydrogen-rich atmospheres, vacuum systems, cryogenics, semiconductor manufacturing, medical equipment or premium audio. For standard electrical, busbar and HVAC duty, ETP copper performs identically and at lower cost.

    What purity grades of OFC do you supply?

    Cu-OF (C10200) at 99.95% min, and Cu-OFE (C10100) at 99.99% min, both with EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates and full chemistry traceability.

    Is OFC used in data centres?

    Yes. OFC busbars, conductors and grounding straps are increasingly specified for hyperscale and AI data centres where joint stability, thermal performance and long-term reliability justify the premium over standard ETP.
