    Frequently Asked Questions

    Brass strips FAQ

What tempers of brass strip are available?

We supply brass strip in O (fully annealed / soft), H02 (half hard), H04 (hard) and H06 (extra hard / spring) tempers. Selection depends on forming severity and required spring properties.

What is the typical width range for brass strip?

Standard cold rolled brass strip is supplied from 4 mm to 600 mm wide. We slit to width from master coils and supply both slit and deburred edges.

Which grade is best for electrical terminals?

CW508L (CuZn37) is the standard cold-formable brass for electrical work, with excellent forming behaviour with good electrical conductivity. CW612N is preferred where higher strength is required.
