Brass rods and profiles: the machining workhorse.
Round, square, rectangular, hexagonal, octagonal and special-profile brass rod in extruded and cold drawn finish, across CW614N, CW617N, CW602N (DZR) and lead-free grades.
Every standard profile.
Round Brass Rods
The reference profile for machining and turning in CW614N, CW617N, DZR and lead-free grades.
Square Brass Rods
Hot-extruded square brass for fittings, electrical components, hardware.
Rectangular Brass Rods
Flat brass bar for bus-bars, connectors and architectural use.
Hexagonal Brass Rods
The free-cutting workhorse for bolts, nuts, fittings, connectors.
Octagonal Brass Rods
Specialist profile for valve bodies, fittings and forging blanks.
Special Brass Profiles
Custom extruded brass profiles drawn to architect or customer drawing.
Two production routes.
Extruded Brass Rods
Hot-extruded as-supplied, economical for general fabrication and machining.
Cold Drawn Brass Rods
Cold drawn after extrusion, delivering tight tolerances, mirror surface, superior machining.

Brass rods and profiles FAQ
Which brass grade is best for high-speed CNC turning?
CW614N (CuZn39Pb3) is the global reference for free-cutting brass, with outstanding chip control and surface finish at high cutting speeds. For lead-free turning we recommend CW724R silicon brass.
What is the difference between extruded and cold drawn brass rod?
Extruded rod is produced directly from the extrusion press, economical with standard tolerance and surface. Cold drawn rod is drawn through a die after extrusion, delivering tighter tolerances (h8/h9), brighter surface and improved straightness for automatic-lathe work.
Do you supply hollow and shaped brass profiles?
Yes, we supply hollow brass rods (round, hexagonal, octagonal) and special profiles drawn to customer specification. See our /products/brass/hollow-rods-profiles page for the full hollow range.
What standards do TIC brass rods comply with?
Our brass rods are supplied to EN 12164 (free machining), EN 12165 (hot forging) and ASTM B16 / B453 standards, with EN 10204 3.1 mill test certification.
