What are LVL scaffolding boards used for?

LVL scaffolding boards (also called LVL scaffold planks) are engineered laminated veneer lumber planks used as working platforms on scaffolding systems, formwork decking, construction access platforms, shoring towers, falsework walkways and industrial maintenance access. The cross-laminated veneer structure delivers higher and more consistent bending strength than solid softwood planks of the same section.

Are OSHA certified LVL scaffold planks available?

Yes. TIC Dubai can supply an OSHA certified LVL scaffold plank specification on indent, for projects and contractors that require formal OSHA compliance for platform boards. This is confirmed at order stage with the mill and documentation is issued with the shipment.

What sizes are available?

Accepted Answer

Standard specification is 38 mm thick × 225 mm wide, in 3900 mm and 5900 mm lengths. Dimensional tolerance is ± 2 mm on thickness, width and length. Other sizes can be quoted against project quantity.

What glue options are available?

Accepted Answer

Two glue lines are offered: Melamine Formaldehyde (MF) for standard exposure and Phenolic Formaldehyde (PF) for higher moisture, higher-cycle and outdoor site conditions. Panels can also be supplied with a live knot face or a no-knot single-sided face depending on the appearance requirement.

What is the moisture content?

LVL planks are supplied at 8% – 15% moisture content, kiln-controlled at the mill to minimise dimensional movement once on site.

Can these be supplied in container quantities?

Accepted Answer

Yes. LVL scaffold planks are supplied factory-direct in full-container quantities against project bills of quantity, with export packing (strapped bundles, plastic-wrapped, mill-marked) suitable for sea freight to UAE, GCC, East Africa and other export markets.

Do you keep local stock?

No. TIC Dubai operates as a factory-direct sourcing partner: LVL scaffold planks are forward-booked against mill production schedules and shipped direct to your project. We do not hold local UAE stock. This is intentional, it keeps pricing aligned to current mill offers and quality accountable to the manufacturer.
